The Baby Race OKJ driver very close to the victory at Circuito del Sele.

A new double podium has been scored by Luca Bosco during the third round of the Italian Karting Championship which has took place this week end at Circuito del Sele-Battipaglia (SA). The quick Baby Race karting driver has shown, one more time, his great performances along the technical italian track proving to be one of the best driver of the OKJ category and one of the the title contenders until the end of the season. Extremely fast since the qualifying session, in which he scored the pole position, Bosco was very quick in the first heats too ending second overall just behind the leader. In the second heat Bosco was instead a bit unlucky because a contact with Pizzi kicked him off the race. Despite of this event Bosco started in Race 1 from the second row (4th) and has been able to make up positions very quickly gaining the second position behind the leader Fusco who later won the first race with Bosco just behind him. In Race 2 Bosco, starting from the 3rd row (6th), was one more time able to put his go kart in the front positions very quickly, but he preferred to stand behind Fusco, avoiding any kind of risk and ending in second position. In both races Bosco settled the best lap of the race. In the overall OKJ standing now Bosco is second, 17 point behind the leader Brizhan.

Luca Bosco: I might be happy for this double podium but I’m a bit disappointed because I missed again the victory, which was absolutely in my hands. I was too careful during the fights with Fusco because I was too concerned about a potential crash between me and him. It’s a pity because I would have been much closer to Brizhan in the standing of the series now. Anyway we have to think positive for this result and now we have to look forward the next round of the CIK FIA European Championship.”

Bosco is now heading to Spain for the next CIK FIA Championship round which will take place this week end at La Morgal (E) in the Fernando Alonso racetrack.
