The Baby Race driver scored a 3rd place in the ACI Sport series.
Great performance for Luca Bosco in the Round 2 of the Italian Karting Championship which has taken place this week end at Circuito Internazionale di Napoli in Sarno (NA). The layout of the track has fitted perfectly on the young talented italian driver who settled the best lap overall in the OKJ category during the qualifying session. Taking a full advantage of the precious tips recieved from his mechanic-coach Alessandro Manetti, Bosco faced the challenge of the heats with the maximum effort and concentration scoring a 2nd and 4th place overall. Having collected these important results, Bosco looked forward the two final races with just one target in his mind: the victory. In Race 1 he started from the first row (2nd) keeping the position in the first laps until he made a little mistake which dropped him back in 5th position. Fighting as usual, the Baby Race driver was able to overtake one of his competitor in the very last part of the race ending in 4th position. In Race 2 his start was not particulary great and he dropped back in 7th position from the second row in the grid. Lap by lap he was anyway able to make up places finishing under the chequered flag in third position. Thank to these results Bosco is now in second place in the overall OKJ standing, 24 points behind the leader Bhirzan.
Luca Bosco: “It has been a positive week end because we have confirmed our good pace. As in Lonato we had the target to win but this time I made too many mistakes and I’ve nullified the amazing job done by the whole team and by my mechanic Alessandro. I really apologize with them and now I want to pay them back next week end in Battipaglia. Anyway I’am second in the standing behind my team mate Brizhan. ”
Bosco will be back on track in few days for the Round 3 of the Italian Karting Championship which will take place at Circuito del Sele – Battipaglia (SA).
