Baby Race driver misses out on widely deserved podium in the last round of the WSK mini series.
The Grand Finale in Sarno this weekend proved to be the best event of the season so far for Luca Bosco. The Italian driver confirmed that he is indeed one of the top 5 OKJ driver in the WSK series after his very consistent performance at Margutti. Very quick in the free practice sessions in which he scored a 5th and 7th position overall, Bosco did it again in the qualifying session, finishing 5th and gaining the fourth spot on the heats starting grid. Determinated and focused as usual, Bosco started the heats certainly heading towards the top of end of the results. Twice third, once fourth and a sixth place finish, those were his results during the amazing heats which launched him directly into the Pre Final. Starting from the second place on the grid, Bosco fought like a tiger the whole race to keep the position, but just ended third right behind the two leaders. Motivated by his mechanic-coach Manetti, Bosco started the Final with just one target in his mind: the podium. After a great start, Bosco was fighting against drivers – Rosso, Coluccio and Maloney for the top three positions and during this one exciting battle, he lost his position and ended the race under the chequered flag in 16th position overall. Bosco again showed what an exciting talent he is during the Grand Finale, and is now ready to start his next adventure in the CIK FIA and ACI Sport series which will start during April.
Luca Bosco: ”The Final has been really a tough battle on track and the result wasn’t as expected. The whole team was perfect and Manetti helped a lot. I am very satisfied and i look forward the start of the European Championship to achieve even better results.”
Bosco is now waiting the start of the CIK FIA European Championship which will take place in Sarno from the 20th to 23th April.
