Six people end up in hospital on the sidelines of the DTM race weekend at the Red Bull Ring. Serious accidents and a race taxi crash in the supporting program.

The third roommate in the bunch was 20-year-old Luca Bosco, who competes in the ADAC GT4 Germany on a Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Mücke Motorsport. The Italian was involved in a quadruple accident after the opening lap in Sunday’s race. Onboard footage during the side impact on the driver’s side suggests that Bosco lost consciousness as a result of the impact.

„The tremor was very violent and led to slight bleeding in the brain and lungs. Everything will be sorted out and I can leave the hospital quickly. See you at Hockenheim,” Bosco wrote on his Instagram page on Monday after Mücke team members visited him in hospital.

As a result of the collision, which resulted in a race interruption, Leon Wassertheurer’s BMW M4 GT3 was also affected. The 22-year-old from Ulm, who shares a Hofor-BMW with Tim Reiter, slammed into the wall on the start/finish straight after contact with the rear first. Wassertheurer was first admitted to the medical center on the track and later taken to hospital with a concussion.
