Waiting the upcoming CIK FIA World Championship, Luca Bosco has joined last week end the British Karting Championship at PFI International Karting Circuit where, in a couple of weeks, he will perform in the most important CIK FIA event of the season. The british track this week end was even more challenging than usual for the drivers due to the bad weather: the Baby Race driver has tried to use this event to gain experience about the track and to check the real competitor’s potential. Session after session Bosco has shown his quick pace in every different grip conditions. During the saturday’s qualifying session Bosco ended up 10th finishing then Race 1 in 7th position and Race 2 with a DNF, due to an accident during the very first lap. The day after Bosco was able to set the 14th lap time of the session and to take later the chequered flag 12th and 14th. This new experience was anyway very important and made him very optimistic looking farward the most important racing event of this season.
Luca Bosco: “It has been a very useful week end. We lapped a lot in different weather and grip conditions. This helped us to collect a lot of set up infos. Driving pretty much on wet was even more important considering that during the CIK FIA event we might have the same weather conditions.”
Now Bosco will spend a couple of day at home for training before heading to Adria to join the Italian ROK Cup Finale which will take place next week end involving the best italian drivers in the Vortex series.
