The Baby Race driver delivers an impeccable performance but falls short due to technical issues.

Race by race Luca Bosco is taking to the OKJ category like a duck to water, and his performance at the Margutti Trophy is a testament to that. Fast, focused and mature, the Italian driver is definitely ready to put forward a serious challenge in the new category through the help of his new mechanic-coach Alessandro Manetti (former karting world champion). There was no pre-tense this past Friday during the free practice at the South Garda Kartdrome as Bosco set best lap overall over both sessions. Setting fastest lap in qualifying with a scorching 48:683 saw the young Italian start the heats from the second row. Scoring a 3rd and 6th position in the heats saw bosco staring the pre-final from 5th position. Unfortunate for the Italian, technical issue saw him confined to the pit lane having to re-join the race in last position. Despite having been set back the driver managed an impressive recovery, with 13 overtakes in 16 laps to settle him in on 8th row on the grid for the final. Circumstances having relegated him to the middle of the pack saw Lucca fighting for position for the duration of the race, crossing the chequered flag in 13th position overall. Regrettably, the best possible outcome for the driver who showed great potential through out the weekend..

Luca Bosco: Lately the bad luck seems to follow me from race to race each. A broken rib, the accident at La Conca and then today’s  technical issue in the Pre Final. It’s a shame because we were very fast this weekend and victory was easily attainable. Regardless, I would like to thank the baby race crew and my mechanic, Manetti. We move forward and look to the next round of the WSK Super Master Series at Sarno, in two weeks.”

The Baby Race Italian driver will return to the track this coming weekend for the testing session at Sarno for Round 4 (last round) of the WSK Super Master Series which will take place on the 08-09 April at Sarno (NA).
