The Baby Race driver once again proves he is making way in the OKJ category with a top 10 finish in Lonato.

Luca Bosco again shows true grit racing in the Winter Cup held in South Garda this past weekend. The talented Baby Race driver had to hold his own against 60 of the best drivers in the category. Showing good pace in the free practice sessions and going on to set fastest lap in the second session saw the young Italian qualifying in 7th position overall just 1.7 seconds off pole.

Starting each heat from the 3rd row allowed for a 7th, 6th and 5th place finish, respectively.
Emboldened by these results and starting the super heats from the 2nd row cemented a 3rd place finish overall for the rookie promising a good show for the finals.
After showing great pace throughout the weekend, Bosco was confident of a podium finish. Unfortunately this was not meant to be as a hit in lap 2 saw the driver falling to 17th place. Fighting through the pack in an exceptional show of skill saw the Italian finishing 9th overall.

As a result of the hit the driver was seen receiving medical attention for rib pain , but was later cleared by the medical team. As disappointing as it was for Bosco to lose out on a chance to fight for the third tier of the podium the driver is determined to leave it behind and fight anew at the next round, ready to score a top result in the OKJ category.

Luca Bosco: ”It was unfortunate that I was not able to fight for a podium finish due to a racing incident, but that’s motorsport. I am more determined to for the next round. I would like to thank the entire Baby Race staff for all their efforts and always-giving 100%. It has been an exciting weekend and now I am looking forward to the next WSK event in Castelletto.”

Luca Bosco will be on track next weekend at Castelletto di Branduzzo for testing before  Round 2 of the WSK Super Master Series set to take place at the same track.
