The 46th has been a really memorable edition for the Trofeo delle Industrie, the international race organized by Parma Motorsport that has taken place this week end in Lonato at the South Garda Karting circuit. The event has enjoyed a record participation of 248 drivers coming from 32 different nations to compete in different categories. In this amazing enviroment the italian Baby Race driver Luca Bosco shined with a 5th overall spot in th OKJ category which was counting more then 50 drivers in the entry list.
Bosco started to show his skills from the very beginning of the event being the quickest in one of the free practice session and second in the qualifying. With this stunning performance the italian driver and his coach Manetti have tried their best even more during the two heats in which Bosco lost twice the victory just for few hundredths of a second. Consistent, focus, skilled and determinated as usual, Bosco ended the day with all the chanche to fight for the final victory until the Final.
In the Pre Final Bosco started 2nd but in the first part of the race struggled too much during some fights with other drivers, wasting a lot of time and being kept off the fitgh for the podium. Too bad for him, despite his very quick lap pace, he ended 5th under the chequered flag. In the Final his racing attitude was again very focus but he had to fight hardly once more with some competitors who were very skilled and experienced: for that he decided to avoid any kind of contact ending 5th overall. This final result is, at least, one step below the real potential shown by Bosco during the whole week end but proves his OKJ top driver role in this last part of the 2017 racing season and brings another important brickyard in his racing career which includes already the incredible world ROK Cup title achieved few weeks ago.
Luca Bosco: “I am happy but of course it would have been a victory. During the whole week end we had the pace to fight for the lead and now has a kind of bad taste this 5th overall. Anyway I’m very proud of myself, the kart, the team and Manetti. We’ll try again in 2018. Now off to Adria for the WSK Finals.”
The next race for him will be this week end in Adria at Adria Karting Raceway where will take placet the first WSK FINAL.
