Luca Bosco has ended the Italian Karting Championship with a very consistent performance grabbing the second place in the OKJ overall standing. During the last round of the ACI Sport series, which has taken place at Circuito of Siena, the italian Baby Race driver has been extremely quick and focus since the start of the first free practice sessions. His target was to close the gap between him and the leader of the series Brizhan: to achieve this challenging commitment Bosco had to try his best in each sessions on track. After scoring the best lap overall during the free practice sessions, Bosco shown a very great pace in the qualifying too scoring a 2nd spot, just 0.032 seconds behind the pole sitter Bertini Colla. During the two heats Bosco fought has a lion against the other competitors winning the first one and ending 7th the second. At the start of Race 1 Bosco, starting from the 5th spot of the grid, gained immediately the third position overall moving later into the lead until the chequered flag. The victory was obtained with more then 10 sec of gap between him and the rest of the pack. Due to the reverse grid (top 8 drivers of Race 1) Bosco struggled to comeback in the front in Race 2 and ended 5th, setting anyway the 2nd best lap overall. Thanks to this great results Bosco achieved the second step of the OKJ podium in the serie’s overall standing, showing once more a very strong racing attitude.

Luca Bosco: We knew that it would have been pretty tough to catch the title but we dind’t give up until the ned. I was super fast for the whole week end but the reverse grid in Race 2 made everything more complicated. I’am anyway very happy for this achievement and I have to thank the whole Baby Race crew, Alessandro Manetti who is pushing me to the limit each race and my mother who is supporting me anytime and anywhere. Now is time to go on and be focus on the next races.”

In September Bosco will be fully booked on track. Next week end Bosco will fly to UK to attend the British Karting Championship at PFI International. The target of this race is to test for the upcoming World CIK FIA Championship which will take place there end of the month.
